The Retreat has been styled with a mix of traditional workmanship, contemporary design and original features, such as old wooden beams and stone walls. The marriage of old and new creates the perfect character chalet with a modern feel. The chalet has been designed to create a cosy, convenient and stylish "home from home" in this Alpine heaven.
smartly contemporary design, snugly wrapped in handsome local timber and generously filled with feather duvets, squashy sofas and open fires. Think boutique-hotel chic without the need to dress for dinner, and furnishings that are made for lolling on not looking at.
Since our very first season, we have gradually refined and improved our collection of chalets - in many cases this has meant locating a plot of land and managing the whole construction process from planning to completion. The result is chalets designed in harmony with local architectural traditions and furnished with an eye for designer style and supreme comfort.
All the main bedrooms are naturally en suite, some with jacuzzi baths and most with tastefully modern bathrooms, which would not look out of place in the latest interior design magazines. Living areas are generously proportioned and provided with DVD players, quality sound systems and of course a balcony or terrace for late season sunny afternoons. Little details have not been overlooked, such as lip-salve and toiletries, the mid-week change of towels and the provision of two pillows for each bed. Wireless broadband is now available in all of our chalets by modem point for your laptop or communal flat screen for the use of all guests.
